It is the responsibility of the entrant (or their legal guardian) to ensure that all the correct participant information is supplied. Entrants who provide incorrect or incomplete information on their entry forms, whether electronically or written, may risk a NULL result
Each Event is limited to a maximum of 200 swimmers. When selecting the event you wish to enter, the number of available spaces will be shown. When an event is full, you will be offered other available event times
Every swimmer entering the water MUST be an official, paid entrant. This is for safety reasons and to comply with Covid-19 Regulations.
CUT OFF TIME: EVENT 1 (3km)
Swimmers who have not reached the 1500m mark (halfway) within 40 minutes will be asked to retire from the event.
CUT-OFF CRITERIA: ALL RACES
Swimmers may be asked to leave the water if deemed by the Water Safety Team to be a safety risk, or if the next race may be affected.

- Entry fees are per person per swim
- Should it not be possible to hold the event, beyond the control of the organizing committee, outside of any Covid-19 lockdown regulations, entry fees will be not be refunded
- Should the event be prevented from going ahead due to unforeseen newly imposed Covid-19 lockdown regulations, entry fees will be carried over to the 2021 event
- No substitutions whatsoever of swimmers into completed entries will be considered at any point
- Event entry fees do not cover the cost of entry to the Midmar Dam Resort
- The organizers reserve the right to limit entries in each event
- The organizers reserve the right to charge an administration fee for changes to a captured entry
ENTRY & PAYMENT OPTIONS
Entries can be completed online or manually (by downloading the form from this website). Details of all options are on the Entry Options page and necessary documents will be available for download from the website in due course.
Payments for entries can be done online via Credit/Debit card (Visa or Mastercard Credit Cards only) or by EFT/ATM deposit.
NO OVER THE COUNTER BANK DEPOSITS WILL BE ACCEPTED DUE TO BANK CHARGES
Each participant will be supplied with a Greendale SUPERSPAR Capital K Swim Cap which must be worn for the duration of the event

Events are not separated by age nor gender in order to accommodate families and groups who can swim together. This will assist with Regulated Social Distancing at the Start and Finish Areas.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES
All online & manual entries will be acknowledged via email by the Capital K team.

By entering the event participants are required to sign a Release & Waiver which states:
RELEASE AND WAIVER
I am in good health, physically fit and have trained sufficiently to participate in the event. I agree to comply with the rules, conditions of entry and regulations for this event which includes payment of the entry fee which will not be refunded. I understand that my entry fee does not cover the cost of entry to the Midmar Dam Resort. I hereby release and discharge, the organisers of the Capital K Swim, all sponsors, volunteer groups, medical personnel, and any and all local authorities, from any loss or damage, however caused, arising from my participation in the event, including pre-race and post-race activities. This waiver applies to my executors, heirs, administrators, assigns and myself. I grant permission to the organisers and sponsors, in terms of section 51 of the Electronic Communications Transactions Act 25 of 2002, to use my name, race information and any photographs, video tape, broadcast and/or telecast footage in which I may appear, for whatever use, at no charge.
