Entry Options

Entries are now open for all 3km, 1km and 500m races on Sunday 22 November

This year we will run 3 'fun' 1km events and 1 'fun' 500m event - each capped at 200 swimmers - starting at 1 hour intervals, each with a 15 minute window for the rolling start. Groups who want to swim together can enter one of these 4 events, regardless of age and gender

Event 1 is a 3km race with a gun start time of 7am. Event 5 is a 1km competitive race (see conditions below) with a gun start time of 11am

Swimmers will need to ARRIVE at the Capital K Check In Area 1 HOUR BEFORE their event begins. Click here for all Race Day procedures

Manual entries will not be accepted without a valid proof of payment

NO ENTRIES ON RACE DAY

At the time of publishing this information, due to Covid-19 Restrictions on numbers, there will be no option to accept late entries at the Dam

THIS MAY CHANGE
should there be a change to Covid-19 Regulations BUT only if the events are not full

Entries must be completed and submitted by Wednesday 11 November for registration and pre-screening purposes

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE

  • Entry fees are per person per swim
  • Should it not be possible to hold the event, beyond the control of the organizing committee, outside of any Covid-19 lockdown regulations, entry fees will be not be refunded
  • Should the event be prevented from going ahead due to unforeseen newly imposed Covid-19 lockdown regulations, entry fees will be carried over to our 2021 event
  • No substitutions whatsoever of swimmers into completed entries will be considered at any point
  • Event entry fees do not cover the cost of entry to the Midmar Dam Resort
  • The organizers reserve the right to limit entries in each event
  • The organizers reserve the right to charge an administration fee for changes to a captured entry
